This campaign pays per valid signature. 

Focus on busy, high-traffic locations such as grocery stores, large retail stores, festivals, parks, transit areas, and busy sidewalks.  

Standing near entrances where people naturally slow down can help you speak with more voters and the more eligible voters you speak with, the more signatures you can collect.

Before handing someone the petition, confirm they are a registered Nebraska voter and that they are signing the petition for the county where they are registered.

Using Pass Validity helps circulators confirm registration and maintain a 75% or higher validity rate.

 Most rejected signatures occur because of:

• The signer is not a registered Nebraska voter
• Incomplete information on the petition line
• Illegible handwriting that cannot be verified
• Incorrect or missing residential address
• P.O. Box listed instead of a residential address
• Missing city or ZIP code
• The circulator did not properly witness the signature
• The petition sheet or circulator certification was not completed correctly

 If a voter makes a mistake, they should cross out the incorrect entry and complete the information correctly if allowed by the petition guidelines. 

Never alter voter information yourself.

Circulators should maintain at least 75% validity. Maintaining 75% or higher validity ensures you receive full payment for your collected signatures. 

If validity drops below 75%, invalid signatures may be purged until the remaining signatures reach the 75% threshold before payment is calculated.

Before turning in your petitions, make sure everything is organized and complete:

• Bring a valid physical ID to the turn-in location (digital IDs will not be accepted)
• Do not sign any petitions before signing the notary book at turn-in
• Make sure each petition sheet is filled out clearly and completely
• Ensure all voter information is legible and complete
• Check that no required fields are missing on any signature lines
• Make sure each signature was personally witnessed by you
• Organize your petition sheets neatly before arriving at turn-in

Taking a few minutes to review your petitions before submission helps prevent rejected signatures and ensures the turn-in process goes smoothly.

 Successful circulators focus on busy locations, quick introductions, and confirming voter eligibility first. 

Using tools like Pass Validity and asking qualifying questions helps ensure signatures are accepted and counted.
